Valor Award

My dad, James Langford, was a climbing ranger for the National Park Service. On March 21, 1970, a climber fell to her death on Machete Ridge in Pinnacles National Monument, leaving her partner stranded high on the 600' cliff. Dad rescued the stranded climber with considerable risk. He subsequently received the Department of Interior Valor Award.
